Departure from terminal 4 floor -1 (from terminals T1-T2-T3 you can use the free shuttle bus service to travel to T4) to Madrid Atocha station. Lines C1 and C10 (30 minutes)

How to get to Toledo by train?
The AVE (AVANT high-speed train) departs from Madrid-Atocha with a frequency of approximately 1 hour.
It takes 25 minutes to get to Toledo.Price:
– round trip: 23 €.
– one way : 13 €.You can check prices and timetables on the Renfe website.
When traveling from Madrid Atocha Station, Madrid Chamartin, or Madrid Puerta de Atocha, you have the opportunity to enjoy a 5% discount for AVE tickets. After registering, you will receive a voucher entitling you to the discount. You can choose to download and/or print the voucher and present it at the ticket counter. Alternatively, if you are purchasing your ticket online, simply enter the promotional code provided to you upon registration on our Congress in the Renfe website. Remember to select the AVE ticket and enter the code in the designated “promotional” field.

How to get to the historic centre from the train station?
On foot
It takes about 20 minutes using the escalators in the Plaza del Granadal.
By taxi
There is a taxi rank outside the station.
It costs approximately €6 to get to Plaza de Zocodover.By bus
Outside the station there is a bus stop.
The lines that stop at Plaza de Zocodover (city centre) are 5, 511, 61 and 62.The ticket costs 1,40 €.
It is not possible to pay by credit card or mobile phone on Toledo city buses.
The driver will not accept tickets of more than €5 for a single journey. -
How to get to Toledo by bus?
ALSA buses travel between Toledo-Madrid/Madrid-Toledo.
They leave every 30 minutes from Plaza Elíptica.There are direct buses (1 hour journey) or buses with stops (10 stops, 1:30 hours journey).

Explore the historical and monumental wonders of Toledo, a city of three cultures. This enriching journey will commence at the emblematic Plaza de Zocodover and take you on a captivating exploration of Toledo’s vibrant history, including its mosques, synagogues, and the awe-inspiring Cathedral. Experience the essence of Christian, Arab, and Jewish heritage as you traverse the city’s prominent squares – from Zocodover Square adjacent to the Alcázar of Toledo to the renowned Town Hall Square, flanked by the Cathedral, Archbishop’s Palace, and Palace of Justice.
During the guided tour on the morning of Saturday, 21 October, participants will have the opportunity to indulge in a delectable tasting of local products.
Ana Morales will be your guide for a curated tasting of two local wines – a Verdejo white wine with wood notes and a Dehesa del Carrizal red wine. To complement the wine experience, you will also savour the rich flavours of extra virgin olive oil.
Following the wine tasting, delightful aperitifs will be served, featuring three different Manchego cheeses (goat’s cheese in oil, classic artisan Manchego cheese, and smoked Manchego cheese), as well as chorizo and deer sausage.
Registration for the social program is priced at 50 €, and the deadline for registration is 1 October 2023.
Please note that the congress organisers reserve the right to cancel the activity if the minimum number of registrations required is not reached. In the event of cancellation, the registration fee will be promptly refunded.
